The ‘Fit of Passion’ Archive: the performance poems #5

Kim Downs, ‘Epitaph for Barbie’

“Inspired by a newpaper article on Barbie’s 35th Birthday, describing her many incarnations over the years and including some of my suggestions for further questionable sales tactics.”

Liz Hall-Downs:

”I wanted to write a tribute poem to women, and used the image of the hands of my mother, my grandmother, and myself.  It begins with the familiar childhood experience of losing your mother in the crowd while shopping.  It’s been published a number of times.”

Aw thankyou! I’m releasing these twice a week, two poems at a time. There are also some songs from this show. A big project, as I’m sure you appreciate!
My own ‘individual’ video archive went up some weeks ago and probably should also have been staggered like this.
